Blueberries & Maple Syrup Quinoa Recipe for Breakfast

If you’re tired of eating the same old oatmeal for breakfast, you may want to give this a try. It’s easy to make and just as nutritious!

Here are the ingredients (serves two):

  • A cup of rinsed quinoa
  • 1 and 1/2 cup of water
  • A cup of milk, non-dairy
  • A bottle of maple syrup
  • A cup of blueberries (or the fruit of your choice)

The Instructions:

Rinse the quinoa with cold water and a fine mesh until the water is clear.

Bring a pot containing a one and a half cup of water to boil in high heat. Put the rinsed quinoa in and lower the heat to low or medium-low. Cover with a lid and let simmer for around 15 to 20 minutes, or until all the water is absorbed.

Remove the pot from the stove and add the cup of non-dairy milk. Transfer quinoa into serving bowls, then liberally drizzle with maple syrup as desired. Top off with blueberries or your fruit of choice. Serve hot. Enjoy!
